Performing “Spices, Perfumes, Toxins” by Avner Dorman at the Cabrillo Festival in 2009 with Marin Alsop conducting

If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing:

Teaching music

Hobbies:

I have very little free time.  50 private students and I run a youth percussion ensemble called the Pre University Percussion Group.  Enjoy a glass of wine

Hawaii, so far

Hello Fresh, ice cream, mustard

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be:

Don’t be so hard on yourself
