Symphony San Jose Receives $1 Million Bequest
from Patron Ann Brown

San Jose, CA (January 21, 2025)

Symphony San Jose is honored to announce the largest bequest in its history, a transformative $1 million gift from Ann Brown, a cherished member of our community. Ann grew up in San Mateo and developed her love for music through her parents.

More recently, Ann shared her passion for music with her close-knit group of girlfriends, who frequently accompanied her to concerts. Ann especially loved our family concerts, delighting in the young and diverse audiences drawn to our film with live orchestra concerts such as Harry Potter and Coco.

Ann’s extraordinary generosity will have a profound and lasting impact on Symphony San Jose. The majority of her gift will be designated to our endowment fund, which will ensure a strong financial foundation and future income to sustain our concerts, community initiatives, and education programs.

We are deeply grateful to Ann for her foresight and commitment to symphonic music, which will allow Symphony San Jose to continue to enrich lives and foster a thriving cultural landscape in San Jose for generations to come.

If you are interested in creating a lasting legacy of music by including Symphony San Jose in your will or estate plans, we invite you to share your intentions with us. By doing so, you’ll become a valued member of Symphony San Jose’s Mazzanti Society—a group we honor with exclusive events and recognition in our concert programs throughout the season.
